Meet Heather, an Account Executive on the Celtic Associations team. When she isn’t managing her clients’ memberships, websites and upcoming meetings, you’ll likely find her watching her favorite TV shows or planning her eventual island vacation – with some dark chocolate likely on-hand. What do you actually do?
I help manage the business aspect of several of the associations that Celtic supports. Everything from membership, website, meetings, webinars, and planning conferences.
How did you become interested in a career in associations?
I like working with people to plan and organize things, so a career in associations was a perfect match.
What do you love the most about working in associations?
Every day, month, and year is very different, so I never get bored.
What do you love about working at Celtic?
I love my teammates and my commute is very nice.
What’s your favorite meeting or event that you planned and actually attended?
My 1st meeting with the Crochet Guild of America in Portland, OR. We had so many planning conversations with the committee it was exciting to see how fun the events turned out for the attendees.
What advice do you have for anyone who wants to do what you do?
Be organized. It will make every day easier.
What is your dream vacation destination and why?
I have so many…the Azora Islands seem so full of nature and charm. To stay on Grand Cayman for at least a week, that was supposed to be our family’s spring break vacation before COVID shut everything down. I’m an Island person, Maldives looks awesome, Canary Islands…. I could go on and on.
